Originally from Fairbanks, Alaska, Shannon has made her home in Metropolitan Atlanta since 1999. She completed her bachelor's degree in Journalism/Public Relations at the University of Oklahoma. Shannon has over 7 years experience in the upscale residential builder market, with an emphasis on high-end kitchen appliances and kitchen and bath fixtures. Shannon’s extensive background in the upscale residential builder market makes her a remarkable resource for information pertaining to the real estate industry. Shannon is currently an associate of Better Homes and Garden Real Estate Metro Brokers and she frequently provides knowledge to her colleagues (new and seasoned real estate professionals) as a mentor, guest speaker and instructor. Shannon is a member of the Northeast Atlanta Metro Association of Realtors (NAMAR), the Georgia Association of Realtors (GAR), the National Association of Realtors (NAR), as well as the First Multiple Listing Service (FMLS) and the Georgia Metro Listing Service (GAMLS). She is a graduate of BHGRE Metro Brokers Graduate Program (MBA) and Partners Helping Develop Good Business Practices (PHD) as well as a certified Premier Selections/Custom Homes Specialist In August 2007 Shannon was nominated and selected as one of the top 50 'Realtors On The Rise' in the country by RISMEDIA "Real Estate Magazine." Shannon is also a mentor for iSucceed. iSucceed is simply one of the best, most cost-effective real estate resource service available for real estate agents with online training tools and strategies to guide Realtors to enhance productivity. Shannon was also featured on WSB-TV Channel 2 in Atlanta on Consumer Advisor Clark Howard's Primetime TV program in September 2007. Shannon was crowned Miss Black University of Oklahoma in 1996, Miss Black Alaska in 1997, and was a finalist in Miss Black USA Pageant held in Washington, D.C. in 1997. During the Miss Black USA pageant she was awarded the Fundraiser Award and the Presidential Award. Shannon was also recognized by Alaskan Congressman Don Young in the Congressional Record. She was also an intern on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for Alaska Senator Frank Murkowski. She is very active in the community as a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., she volunteers on a regular basis with ‘Hands on Atlanta' & involved with voter registration with Kappa Iota Zeta Chapter of Zeta. For several years she was a volunteer cheerleading coach for Sandy Spring Saints. Shannon is an active and faithful member of Free Chapel Church in Gainesville, GA and serves as a lead volunteer in Free Chapel's bookstore ministry. |
